ApplySafe

Privacy Policy

Effective date: September 7, 2026

ApplySafe helps users review job listings for scam signals. This policy explains the data the ApplySafe Chrome extension handles and why.

Data We Handle

How We Use Data

We use this data only to provide ApplySafe features: reviewing the open job listing, presenting risk and trust signals, verifying sponsorship-related employer information, maintaining account access, saving user-selected history and reminders, and processing optional subscriptions.

Service Providers

To provide these features, data may be transmitted over HTTPS to ApplySafe's hosting and database providers, OpenAI for job-review generation, Google for sign-in, Stripe for payment processing, and public H-1B data sources for employer checks. We do not sell user data or use it for advertising, creditworthiness, or lending decisions.

Storage and Retention

Review caches, preferences, and history may be stored locally in the browser. Signed-in account information and synced data may be stored in ApplySafe's database to provide account and history features. Users can clear local extension data in the dashboard or request account-data deletion by contacting us.

Security

ApplySafe uses HTTPS for data transmitted between the extension and its services. Access tokens and session data are used only for authentication and are not shared for advertising or unrelated purposes.

Google API Limited Use

The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
